The new GX- 3i models have all that the GX-3 has just that it has been upgraded with the newest of technologies for golf rangefinders. Of course, Leupold has not left out the famous PinHunter Technology that gets you just the pin in front of trees and bushes, you will get only the first target and that is the flag.

easier when ranging to a distant pin. This may be the biggest support the GX-3i gets from golfers using these out on the golf courses is that they are accurate and fast beyond expectation.

Optics
Like the GX3 the GX-3i optics have been enhanced beyond there predecessor’s to the point of being incredible to read and just a pleasure in all lighting conditions. In all the GX3i rangefinder reviews that I went through there has been nothing but praise for the optics.
The Differences Between GX-3i & GX-4i
By slipping on the yellow faceplate over the chrome faceplate, you can transform 
your rangefinder into a unit that will detect the slope of the shot and compute it together with altitude and atmosphere conditions giving you an accurate distance. Not only will it suggest a club, with the GX4i, you can load in your actual yardage. It becomes as close as it gets to have a coach in your back pocket.
Dislikes
Like all other golf rangefinders if you ask enough golfers for their personal review you will get some not liking certain things and the new GX-3i and GX-4i are no exceptions. It seems when it comes to laser rangefinders no matter the technology that goes into these new units the issue of holding them steady always comes up. Others have complained about not being able to shoot the flag properly. One thing the laser rangefinders have in common is that they all take a bit of time to get good.
In Conclusion
The Leupold GX-3i and the GX-4i seem to be living up to the expectations and are better and faster more accurate than their predecessors the GX-3 and the GX-4.
